PRESS RELEASE
SOMERSET HOME NAMES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
For just the third time in 40 years, Visions and Pathways has a new executive director.
The board of trustees of the Bridgewater nonprofit agency has named David Walker to lead the agency into its fifth decade of providing a safe haven and support services to abused, neglected and homeless teens in New Jersey.
For the past 10 years, Walker served as executive director of Morristown Neighborhood House, Inc. Prior to that, he headed Tri-County Peoples Corporation in Newark.
“David has many years of experience helping improve the lives of children and their families,” said Claire Calandra, president of the board of trustees. “His organizational skills and passion for helping youth will be great assets as the agency finds innovative ways to meet the changing needs of its clients.”
With degrees from Stanford, Georgetown and Columbia, Walker’s experience ranges from expanding services to increasing funding. “I’m excited by this opportunity and look forward to working with the staff and the community to meet the challenges of providing support services to our residents,” Walker said.
Walker lives in Green Brook, N.J., with his wife and two teenage children.
